Neewollah will be taking place on the final Sunday night of the month, 26TH. We will be at the Walden Farm for a time of fun, devotion, worship and food. Come in costume. Prizes will be awarded!
Please keep bringing bags of individually wrapped candy (no hard candy) for this event. A designated box is in the main foyer. We will start in the main auditorium. Don't forget to wear your costume! We need people to decorate their trunks. Every participant will receive a surprise. The top three decorated cars will receive a BIG prize!
All men and teen young men of the congregation are invited to sign up and receive an information flyer in the main foyer for our upcoming retreat. It is being held at Lake Benson. The elders have scheduled Keith Parker from Hendersonville Church of Christ to speak to us about Walking in the Light in this Dark World. In addition to our speaker, we have plenty of activities scheduled for fellowshipping with each other. If you would like to carpool up Friday night after your children trick-or-treat, see Rob Hartman or Steve McCarthy.
Due to the high cost of postage, it is time to update our bulletin mailing list. If you wish to continue receiving the Smyrna Church bulletin via regular mail, please call the church office at 459.3217 no later than November 1, 2014. If we do not hear from you by November 1ST, we will assume that you wish to be removed from the mailing list. Thank you for helping us in this matter. Also, thanks to all of you who have contributed monetarily to help us with the cost of postage.
A ladies' meeting and a men's meeting will be held on Sunday, November 2ND at 5:00PM All men and women of the congregation are encouraged to be present to learn more about the different ministries that the men and women are involved in within the Smyrna church family. Following the meetings, we will meet together in the fellowship hall for our annual chili dinner. More details will be in next week's bulletin.
Dean Dunning, campus minister at MTSU and director of Raiders for Christ will be speaking during class on Wednesday night November 5TH. The class is for all parents of High School and College age students. The focus will be on continuing in faith beyond High School.
I will have a simple meal ready for all who sign up. We will eat at 6:00PM and then watch a movie in the small auditorium. Call and let us know you are coming.
