The bulletin will be delayed one day next week. Those receiving the bulletin via email will receive it on Wednesday, July 29TH and those receiving it by regular mail will receive it on Thursday, July 30TH/Friday, July 31TH. The Bible class schedules for the fall quarter will be also included with next week's bulletin.
Teachers are needed in our children's classes for the fall quarter — nursery volunteers and kingdom central leaders and volunteers. We also need people to sub for the areas when people are absent. A table will be set up in the lobby this Sunday morning to sign-up, or see Cammie if you can help.
Singers are needed to help sing to the residents at Christian Care Center on Wednesday nights at 7:00PM. If you would be willing to help in any way, please show up at the nursing home at 7:00PM any Wednesday night you are able. The residents always look forward to our song service and visits with them each week.
Carpool leaving at 3PM on Friday. You will need to bring a tent or arrange to share one with a friend. Bring Bible, sleeping bag, and swimwear. All meals are provided at campground.
This Sunday night, July 26TH the visitation program will be church-wide, meaning no LIFE group is assigned. If you would like to help send cards, please come to the Fellowship Hall at 5:00PM Sunday night. Also, during this next year a visitation team will be used in addition to the LIFE groups doing visitation activities. This will not replace LIFE groups. The team(s) organized will be used when LIFE groups are not meeting during the school year and during the summer a couple of times. The number of teams will be determined by the number of individuals interested in the teams. The purpose of the team is to give individuals who like to send cards or who are inspired to make visits the opportunity to do so. The frequency of sending cards or making visits will be based upon individual desire. If you are interested in being on a visitation team, please sign up at the welcome center or contact Bill Davis III: 615.290.4979 or Tommy Colyar: 615.793.6354. 47 cards were sent out last Sunday night by the Cagle/Peebles' LIFE group.
Women at His Well, hosted by the ladies of the education committee in conjunction with WINGS (Women in God's Service), will be held on Monday, July 27TH at 6:30PM in the Fellowship Hall. A new ministry called Ruth and Naomi will be introduced. The menu will be soup, salad and sandwiches. Spread the word through your LIFE groups. Please sign up at the welcome center and list which food item you would like to bring.
Men of the congregation, if you have not presented the communion thoughts during morning worship service since last December and you would like to, please contact, via email, Bill Davis III, or by cell phone: 615.290.4979. Your thoughts should not be any longer than 5 minutes.
Thank you for your generous donations to help our benevolence fund in the past. The Smyrna Church is helping several of our church family with financial needs, which depletes a huge portion of our fund. Donations to our benevolence fund are greatly appreciated. Please give your donation to Jim Parker or one of the elders. Please make checks payable to Smyrna Church of Christ and earmark it Benevolence.
Ladies, we hope you will save the date and make plans to join us for this year's retreat October 30TH-November 1ST, 2015 at Camp Lake Benson. The theme will be Rejoice With Me. Be on the lookout for further information coming in the next few weeks. Amanda Gilreath needs several more ladies to help with games, decorating, devotionals, etc. Please contact Amanda or call her at 615.268.6335.
